Recipe 2: Fried Rice Baby!

Chefs remarks: With just a few simple ingredients, you can transform your rice into a flavor-packed side dish.
- 1 Cup Swadesh Basmati rice
- 1 tablespoon sunflower oil
- salt (as per taste)
- 1 tablespoon soy sauce
- ½ teaspoon black pepper
- ¼ teaspoon chili powder
- Frozen or fresh mixed vegetables (carrots, corn, beans & peas)
- Salami (chicken) cut into small pieces.
- 1 Egg (optional)
- Spring onion optional
Instructions:
- In a medium pot, prepare the Swadesh Basmati rice until cooked perfectly.
- Dry & keep the Swadesh basmati rice to cool.
- In a fresh pan add 1-2 teaspoon of oil & fry a scrambled egg & keep aside.
- In the same pan on medium heat, Add around 1-2 tablespoons of sunflower oil.
- Add frozen or fresh chopped vegetables & sauté for 2-3 minutes on medium heat.
- Add ½ teaspoon of black pepper, ¼ teaspoon of chili powder. Sautee for 1 minute.
- Add the cut salami to the pan & sauté for about 3-4 minutes.
- Add 1-2 tablespoons of soy sauce as per taste & stir.
- Turn the heat to high & add the Swadesh Basmati rice to the pan & mix well.
- Sauté for 3-4 minutes on high heat.
- Add the eggs & sauté for 1 minute.
- Dish is ready to be served.
- Garnish with spring onion
